Today, I purchase a purple bell pepper, baby red onions with the green shaft still attached, a gorgeous heirloom tomato as big as both my fists, sugar-free kettle corn, bok choy, and Asian cabbage the farmer had just picked yesterday. I was given preparation suggestions for some of the odder items. A lovely woman named Cathy is specially making a salt-free version of her amazing goat cheese just for me! On a more personal note, it was truly lovely to interact with the people who actually grew my vegetables and baked my bread. Also, in a world full of feed-lot meat and tasteless, GMO produce picked too green and shipped too far, it was refreshing to meet the amazing small-hold workers from my own community who are the future of food in America. There are a few local or colorado sellers, but most of it is retail shops that have imported the products. Way OVER priced. Not impressed! -- cm You will find the most beautiful garlic braids you have ever seen here. I get them for Christmas gifts every year.
